Waxing Loquacious

Today in class I used the phrase “waxing loquacious,” which, contrary to some of my students’ apparent assumption, has nothing to do with removing leg hair from a creatively named woman.

  1. Getting all sesquipedalian on them are you? (One of the words I used in my stroke evaluation. “Name all the words beginning with S you can think of.” Then I had to define several of them.)
